Yesterday

So I started writing our story last night but realized I probably should not be writing after having ALOT of wine (see last picture).
After the surprise of having Candi come along, we boarded.  Super Grover even had his own seat.  Candi and Amy slept for most of the trip. Clare and I played Ratooki and cards.  After 6 hours we arrived
We went to pick up our rental and they were out of full size cars so they upgraded us to an SUV (thankfully as our luggage still barely fit!).  After naming him Charlie we were on our way.  We headed out to the Golden Gate Bridge   We drove over then hit the park for some photo ops.  There's a street across from the park we went up to take additional pictures (of course Super Grover was the star there getting his photo taken).  Once done we headed out to Lombard Street (and I actually drove us down it!).  From there it was to Chinatown for lunch at R&g Lounge.  The girls had some beverages and some great food (Amy even got herself a new purse hanger).  After our adventures we were off to Woodside to Colleen and James' (incredible) house.  Words cannot express how wonderful they are.  Colleen is Amy's cousin.  We arrived and Colleen showed us around the house and gave us time to wash off the travel grime.  We all gathered in the kitchen for wine and home made guacamole.  We headed out to the patio and continued with the wine (you're not allowed to have an empty glass in the McDonough house!).  James came home and made us a phenomenal dinner of steak with balsamic reduction, salad with roasted corn and broccoli (and of course, more wine). The kids came home and they are so adorable and so friendly.  Just great kids.  Charlotte told us about  the birthday party she was at that was like Chopped where they has to make meals and were judged.  Her crepes won!  We then retired to the living room for more wine and a champagne toast to end the night.

Aren't they so cute sleeping!

Oh and I now know the way to San Jose!

The evidence (and why I couldn't write last night!)
