So after the tour we headed upstairs for starters (and of course wine). James and the kids were making chicken parm for Mother's Day dinner....Clare was positively drooling as this is one of her favorites! Candi also got James' secret on how to make it (dip in the bread crumbs, then the batter, then the bread crumbs again...who knew). For dessert we had angel food cake soaked with strawberries and blueberries soaked in a Grand Marnier. Yum!
It was nice to hang out, relax and enjoy time with the family. It was also good to rest up as today we're off to Napa Valley. James gave us some good vineyards to hit up so we're excited to go (well at least I am. It's 6:30 AM and I'm already up...the girls are still sleeping...perhaps I'm a bit more excited than them?!?!).
OMG ........ and I thought our 6 bottle wine rack was cool! Positively ...... nice!
